Michael Hitchcock has appeared in all four of Christopher Guest's critically-acclaimed comedies For Your Consideration, A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, and Waiting for Guffman. Film acting credits also include Serenity, Wild Hogs, Pretty Persuasion, Heartbreakers,  and Happy Texas.  Television credits include Entourage, Desperate Housewives, Arrested Development, Las Vegas, Bernie Mac, and NYPD Blue.

Hitchcock earned widespread acclaim for his screenplay Where the Day Takes You, an uncompromising view of life on the streets of Los Angeles, with an ensemble cast featuring Will Smith, Sean Astin, Lara Flynn Boyle, Dermot Mulroney, and Christian Slater.  He also wrote the MGM family comedy House Arrest starring Jamie Lee Curtis and several movies for television including The Ultimate Christmas Present for the Disney Channel.  He is currently a writer and co-executive producer on the Fox late-night comedy series MadTV.  He resides in Los Angeles.
